Gas-lubricated mechanical seal / for turbo-compressor - 28XP series
The 28XP series from John Crane is a non-contacting gas seal for turbo compressors. It is engineered with a 28AT structure, that is resistant to chemicals and is capable of sealing even in high pressure operations. The seal can function on a wide temperature range in a wide variety of applications that involve slow roll and coast-down conditions. The series has dry-running gas seals that were specially made for gas-handling turbomachinery. It is equipped with a patented spiral groove system that ensures no contact between the seals during operation. It has a mating ring/seat with primary ring/face within 0.0002"/5 microns, effectively eliminating wear.
Single and double seal arrangements are available to reduce the oil contamination and costs.
