T2000 is a measuring instrument designed for the resistance measurement on earth probes with ground loop method and without disconnecting parts of the plant under test. Such measurement evaluates the resistance of single rods within an earth installation if they do not affect each other. Two toroids - one for current and one for voltage - make up the inner part of the instrument. The voltage toroid generates a potential (E) on the loop when resistance is measured. A current (I) is then generated on the loop and measured by the current jaws. Based on values obtained from E and I the resistance value R is calculated as their ratio. The T2000 clamp performs AC current up to 20A and leakage current with 0.05mA.
