Light modulator

Jenoptik offers light modulators for modulation processes involving phase, amplitude, spectrum and polarization, as well as for the formation of PulS and the reduction of pulse rates. The modulators can be used for the switching of low-power and high-power lasers.

The usability over a wide range of wavelengths, including visible and infrared, combined with fast switching times are two of the best features offered by these modulators. They are available as one-dimensional, fiber-coupled, controllable crystal arrays and two-dimensional units.

The internal R&D laboratories can realize customer specific demands.

The integrated optical light modulators make use of the quick electro-optical reaction of photonic crystals for swift laser light phase and amplitude modulation in the visible and infrared spectrum. The compact modulators are distinguished by frequencies of high modulation and voltages of low modulation.

Optical coupling is produced through various optional waveguide types. Depending on customer requirement, specifically adapted controllers or analog optimizers can be incorporated with modulators.

The integrated optical light modulators have wavelengths from 500 nm to 1600 nm and high modulation frequencies. You can also benefit from its short switching times, amplitude and phase modulation, and laser pulse rates reduction features. Light modulators made according to the customer's specifications and requirements are also made available aside from standard light modulators.
