REC2 is a four- or two-pole earth leakage switch, often associated with a control set and compact motor, enabling automatic and safe installation reclosure in the event that the leakage is not permanent. An output contact is available as well, while the earth leakage switch is reclosed automatically in accordance to the work mode selected. The time sequence mode, after a switch trip, will be comprised of six reclosing attempts with a timer set at a value between 10 and 600s.
When in the insulation monitor mode, the device will repeat the previous sequence, measuring the presence of leakage current in the installation before carrying out the reset. Finally, the REC2 will only reclose when the insulation measurements are correct, and there are LEDs installed on the front part as well.
