Rain-water filter - PURAIN series
The PURAIN Rainwater filter, which is also known as a hydraulic jump filter, is ideal for roof areas ranging from 60-m2 to 15,000-m2 or higher. This technology is capable of automatic self-cleaning. At nearly ever course in a stream, it’s possible to see how the hydraulic jump functions. Water flows over a stone, which is rounded and smoothed by the action of the water over a period of time. The water flow is changed by the height of the drop, from a sub critical to a super critical flow. The flow changes again at the bottom of the dip to a sub-critical flow in a process known as the hydraulic jump. The resulting water power increase forces any impurities over the next level where they will be washed away downstream.
