This new range of modular fixturing has been developed by Renishaw after the acquisition of R&R Sales LLC. This extensive range is designed for the Equator gauging system, coordinate measuring machines, and vision systems. There are many options available for base plates, and components are available in thread sizes such as M8, M6 and M4. The components can also be utilized for measurement processes in a brand range of industries, such as automotive, medical, aerospace, etc.

The CMM fixtures from Renishaw are available in a selection of base plates constructed from cast aluminum and coated with a hard anodized NiTuff coating. The pre-configured kits are available in two types: clamping and magnetic/clamping. There are two options available with the vision fixtures including a quick load corner kit with an acrylic base plate and an QLC frame made to fit a specific vision machine.

Renishaw Equator fixtures give specially designed base plates that have a three-point kinematic system for fast loading and unloading of the machine. The excellent engagement of the base plate will ensure that each fixture is repeatedly held in place and located to support quick replacement of components within seconds.

The Renishaw Equator fixtures have improved accuracy, reproducibility and throughput for the entire inspection process with repeatable and quick fixture steps that can be configured easily, for example, the base plates are labeled alpha-numerically so that setups can be repeated accurately and repeatedly. All components need no special tools and are hand-tightened.

Fixturing components can be positioned easily with minimum contact around and on the part. This gives a clear probe path which is very important during the inspection of part details. Base plates are produced in M6 or M4 thread sizes and are made of cast aluminum.
