Our “grease-like” metalforming compounds are highly fortified with additives that prevent metal-to-metal contact at the tool-workpiece interface where temperatures can exceed 1000 0 C. Elastrohydrodynamic Lubrication (EHL) forms an evenly distributed film that eliminates galling and improves surface quality. It develops under extreme pressure from our use of long-chain chlorinated paraffins, select synthetic fat and synthetic oils.

From stamping and blanking of carbon steel to drawing of high nickel tubing, Aldraw products provide extended die life, improved surface finish and reduced scrap material. The non-hazardous formulation provides for a safe work environment and easy waste disposal.
Application
The heaviest of the Aldraw series, J-2 provides the maximum adherence and shear resistance for the most severe forming operations. The physical film characteristics and EP additives in Aldraw J-2 provide unparalleled performance in severe reductions of tube and bar. The extreme viscosity also makes it ideal for metal spinning operations. Some applications/operations for this product would be Tube, Bar, Wire and Rod Drawing; Blanks - Deep Drawing, Progressive and Transfer; Stamping & Forming - Progressive and Transfer; Fine Blanking and Coining; Swaging, Pointing; Spinning; Heavy Duty Tapping and Threading; Broaching.

Hangsterfer's Laboratories has been supplying the tube drawing industry with high quality, highly effective products since 1937. Aldraw JH-9402 was developed to improve the surface finishes and reduction capabilities in difficult tube drawing applications. It is ideal for use on stainless steels, nickel alloys, high-temperature alloys and titanium.
Application
Aldraw JH-9402 is a dual-purpose (ID and OD) lubricant that can be used in drawing applications that utilize either semi-floating plugs or full-floating plugs. JH-9402 was designed to eliminate the need for both a pre-coat and secondary lubricant since it does both. Aldraw JH-9402 helps provide a bright ID finish by eliminating chatter and galling. It also provides excellent solid film lubrication in addition to wettability characteristics that will insure proper coating of the tube and protection of the plug and die set. Reductions greater than 40% are possible with Aldraw JH-9402.
