The Cold Mirror is designed to separate heat from light. The visible spectrum is reflected (> 96%), while the infrared wavelengths are transmitted (> 80%). The cold mirror allows the use of a high intensity radiation source with heat sensitive materials such as film. The cold mirror is optimized for 45 degrees. The coating can be applied to most optical substrates from the UV to the near IR.

The Hot Mirror is designed to separate heat from light. The infrared radiation (heat) is reflected (> 96%) and the visible light is transmitted (> 80%). The hot mirror allows the use of high intensity radiation sources with heat sensitive materials. The hot mirror is optimized for zero degrees. The coating can be applied to most optical substrates fromthe UV to the near IR.

The Hybrid Hot Mirrors consist of metallic and dielectric materials. The transmission peaks at around 75% at 600nm and the IR rejection (> 95%) extends out to the FAR IR. This coating would be used when longwave length rejection is needed and the visible transmission is less important.
